How to build a Cloud+ study deck that holds up on exam day

Cloud+ covers a wide range of material, from hybrid deployment models to incident response, so CompTIA Cloud+ flashcards work best when they come from the same notes and slides you study from. Cards built from your own material match the terms, examples and diagrams your course actually uses.

  • Cards generated from your own PDFs, slides and notes
  • Spaced repetition queue so weak topics come back first
  • Quizzes with explanations for the cards you keep missing
  • Study in the browser on the free plan, with exports on paid plans
Example CompTIA Cloud+ flashcards
What is the difference between RTO and RPO?RTO is the maximum acceptable time to restore service after an outage, and RPO is the maximum acceptable amount of data loss, measured back to the last usable copy. Both set the targets that drive backup and failover design.
Under the shared responsibility model for IaaS, what does the customer secure? The customer secures the operating system, applications, data and access settings, while the provider secures the physical facilities, hardware and virtualization layer. The split shifts toward the provider as you move to PaaS and SaaS.
What is a blue-green deployment? Two identical production environments run side by side, and traffic moves from the blue environment to the green one after the new version passes checks. Rollback is quick because traffic can switch back to the previous environment.
Why use infrastructure as code?Templates define cloud resources in version-controlled files, so environments can be rebuilt and reviewed consistently. This reduces configuration drift between development, test and production.
What is a canary release?A small share of traffic goes to the new version first, and the rollout widens only if error rates and latency stay healthy. This limits how many users a bad release can affect.

Built from your course files

Upload PDFs, DOCX, PPTX, plain text notes or photos of pages. Cards come from your instructor's material, not a generic question bank.

Spaced repetition scheduling

Cards you miss come back sooner and cards you know fade into longer gaps, so review time goes to the cloud concepts that still need work.

Quizzes and mind maps too

Switch to multiple choice, true/false or short answer quizzes with explanations, or map how deployment, security and operations topics connect.

How it works

Upload your Cloud+ material

Add a PDF of your study guide, a slide deck, typed notes or a photo of a whiteboard.

Generate and review your cards

DeckOwl creates flashcards from the content. Edit any card that is too broad or misses a detail.

Study on a schedule

Work through the daily review queue in the browser. Export to Anki or CSV on a paid plan if you prefer another tool.

Keep each card to one idea: a single service model, a recovery metric, a deployment pattern or a troubleshooting step. Spaced repetition then handles the rest, bringing back the cards you miss while you are still able to recall them.

Mix in quizzes once the basics feel automatic. Scenario questions about choosing between deployment strategies or diagnosing a failed backup test whether you can apply the concepts, not just recite them.

Frequently asked questions

What topics does the CompTIA Cloud+ exam cover?

Cloud+ covers areas such as cloud architecture, deployment, operations, security, DevOps concepts and troubleshooting, so it helps to group your cards by those areas. Check CompTIA's current official exam objectives for the exact domains and weighting.

How many flashcards should I make for Cloud+ study?

Start with one card for each term, service model, recovery metric or command you cannot explain from memory. Split long sections into smaller topics so each card stays focused and easy to review.

Can I export my Cloud+ flashcards to Anki?

Yes, the Plus plan includes export to Anki, along with PDF, DOCX and CSV. The free plan lets you study in the browser but does not include exports.

Can I make flashcards from photos of my notes?

Yes, photos of pages are read with text recognition, and you can also upload PDFs, DOCX, PPTX and plain text. The free plan includes 3 generations per month, and Plus adds unlimited generations.
