Who we are
DeckOwl (https://www.deckowl.com) is an online study tool that turns documents and notes into flashcards, quizzes and mind maps. Contact: support@deckowl.com.
What we collect
Account data (email address, and name if you sign in with Google); the files and text you upload and the study material generated from them; usage data such as the number of generations per month; and basic analytics (pages viewed, referrer, device type) collected without advertising cookies.
How we use it
To provide the service: generate and store your study material, enforce plan limits, process payments, send account and product emails, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data and do not use your uploads to train AI models.
Processors
We use trusted providers to run the service: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (authentication and database), Anthropic (AI generation; uploaded text is sent to generate your material), Stripe (payments; we never see or store your full card number), and an email provider for transactional and product emails. Each processes data only on our instructions.
Retention
Your uploads and generated material are kept while your account is active. You can delete individual items at any time, or delete your account to remove all of your data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU, UK and California), you may access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict processing. Email support@deckowl.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
DeckOwl is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date below. Material changes will be announced by email.
