How a daily Spanish flashcard routine works

A Spanish flashcard routine works best when it is short and repeated every day. Pick one topic, such as daily routine verbs, and turn your own class notes or textbook pages into cards in a few minutes.

  • Keep sessions to about 15 minutes so you can repeat them every day.
  • Start with 10 to 20 new cards and review older cards before adding more.
  • Say each phrase aloud before checking the answer.
  • Write one sentence about your own day using each new verb.
Example Spanish daily routine vocabulary flashcards
despertarseto wake up; me despierto means I wake up
ducharseto shower; me ducho means I shower
desayunarto eat breakfast; desayuno is the noun for breakfast
acostarseto go to bed; me acuesto means I go to bed
cepillarse los dientesto brush your teeth; me cepillo los dientes means I brush my teeth

Spaced repetition on Plus

Cards you miss come back sooner and cards you know fade into longer gaps, so daily review stays focused.

How it works

Upload your Spanish notes

Add a PDF, slide deck, notes file or a photo of a vocabulary page from your class.

Review the cards each day

Spend about 15 minutes on new cards and a short pass over older ones, saying each phrase aloud before you flip.

Check what keeps slipping

Look at the cards you miss most and build a short quiz or mind map around those verbs to test yourself.

Reviewing the same set each day builds recall faster than cramming once a week. Saying each reflexive verb in a full sentence, such as me despierto a las siete, makes the card useful for speaking as well as reading.

Frequently asked questions

How many Spanish flashcards should I review each day?

Say each verb in a full sentence, such as me ducho por la mañana, before you flip the card. Then write one sentence about your own morning to use the words in context.
