Why build TOEFL vocabulary from your own sources

Turn the vocabulary you actually face into TOEFL vocabulary flashcards by uploading the word lists, reading passages or lecture notes you already have. The generator pulls out key terms and definitions, and spaced repetition schedules each card so the difficult words return before you lose them.

  • Upload a PDF, slide deck or photo of a printed word list
  • Get term and definition cards built from your own material
  • Review due cards with spaced repetition on the Plus plan
  • Export to Anki or CSV on Plus to study offline or in other apps

Cards from your own material

Upload a PDF, slide deck, text file or a photo of a printed word list. The text is read and turned into term and definition cards.

Spaced repetition

Each card is scheduled based on how well you remembered it, so you spend less time on words you already know and more on the ones you miss.

Export when you need it

Plus exports to PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV, so your TOEFL set can move into the study app you already use.

How it works

Upload your word list or passages

Add a PDF, DOCX, PPTX, text file or image of the vocabulary you are studying.

Generate and check the cards

Review the terms and definitions the generator pulls out, and edit any that need a clearer answer.

Study a little every day

Work through the due cards in your browser and let the schedule decide when each word comes back.

TOEFL reading and listening questions test whether you understand a word in context, not only its dictionary meaning. Pair each term with the sentence it came from, flip the cards honestly, and let the schedule bring back the ones you keep missing.

Frequently asked questions

How many TOEFL vocabulary words should I study each day?

Keep the daily set small enough that you can finish it comfortably, and add new words only after the current ones feel familiar. Spaced repetition handles the reviews, so you do not need to cram before a test date.

Should I learn TOEFL words in context or as isolated lists?

Learn them in context, because the test asks you to infer meaning from the sentence around a word. Keep the example sentence on the back of the card next to the definition.

Can I move my TOEFL flashcards into Notion?

Exports on the Plus plan include PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV. Notion can import CSV files into a database, so the CSV export is the practical route if you keep your study notes there.

Is there a free plan to try this?

Yes, the Free plan includes 3 generations per month and studying in the browser, and you do not need a credit card to start. Exports require Plus or Pro.
