Cancel your AI concept map subscription from your account settings
If you want to stop paying for an AI mind map tool, this page explains your plan options and what you keep on the free plan.
What to know before you cancel an **AI concept map website** subscription
Most people looking to end an AI concept map website subscription want the charges to stop without losing the study work they already have. Start by checking which plan you are on, since the Free, Plus, and Pro tiers differ in generations, exports, and model strength.
- Free plan: 3 generations per month, studying in the browser, no exports.
- Plus: $39/year or $7.99/month with unlimited generations and PDF, DOCX, Anki, and CSV export.
- Pro: $14.99/month with a stronger AI model, bulk upload, and QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML export.
- Students get 40% off with a school email, and no credit card is needed to start.

How it works
Check your current plan
Confirm whether you are on Free, Plus at $39/year or $7.99/month, or Pro at $14.99/month.
Open billing in your account
Plan and billing options are managed in your account settings, so review that section before you change anything.
Decide what you need to keep
Exports to PDF, DOCX, Anki, or CSV are paid features, so export any material you want before you move to the free plan.
DeckOwl turns uploaded notes into flashcards, quizzes, and mind maps. Paid features include unlimited generations and PDF, DOCX, Anki, and CSV export on Plus, plus bulk upload and QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML export on Pro. Students can get 40% off with a school email.
On the free plan you still get 3 generations per month and can study in the browser, but exports are not included. If you only need an occasional map, that may be enough after you leave a paid tier.

Frequently asked questions
How many branches should a cell biology concept map have?
Most useful maps have 4 to 7 main branches, each with 2 to 4 sub-points. Fewer branches keep the map readable, and extra detail can go in sub-branches.
How do I study a concept map without memorizing its layout?
Cover one branch at a time and recall its sub-points from memory before checking. Then redraw the map from a blank page to test whether the relationships hold.
Can I export my mind maps if I cancel?
Exports to PDF, DOCX, Anki, and CSV are paid features, so they require Plus or Pro. The free plan lets you study in the browser only.
Is there a free plan I can use instead?
Yes, the free plan includes 3 generations per month and no credit card is needed to start. It does not include exports.
