Turn your own notes into a Blooket-style quiz
DeckOwl writes the questions from your PDFs, slides or notes, with explanations for each answer. It does not host live multiplayer games, so you study in the browser or export the quiz to your class platform.
What a Blooket-style live quiz needs
If you want a Blooket-style live quiz, the hardest part is usually writing good questions, not running the game. DeckOwl handles the questions: upload your slides or notes and it returns multiple-choice, true/false or short answer items, each with an explanation.
- Questions are built from your own PDFs, slides or notes
- Each answer includes an explanation students can read
- Free plan: 3 generations per month, study in the browser
- Paid exports include PDF, DOCX, Anki, CSV, QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML
Questions from your material
Upload PDFs, DOCX, PPTX, plain text or photos of pages, which are read with text recognition.
Explanations for every answer
Multiple-choice, true/false and short answer questions each come with an explanation of why the answer is right.
Export for your class platform
Plus exports PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV. Pro adds QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML for importing into a learning system.
How it works
Upload your material
Add a PDF, slide deck, document or set of notes. Free accounts need no credit card to start.
Choose your question types
Pick multiple-choice, true/false or short answer questions, then generate the set.
Study or export
Practice in the browser on the free plan, or export to PDF, DOCX or another format on a paid plan.
DeckOwl does not run live multiplayer games, so you will need to share the quiz another way. Export options depend on your plan: PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV on Plus, and QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML on Pro for importing into a learning system.
Starting from your own material keeps the questions tied to what your class covered. Review the generated questions before you use them so the wording matches your course.
