- Read an explanation for every answer, right or wrong
- Export to PDF, DOCX or Anki with a Plus plan
Multiple-choice, true/false and short answer
Pick the question type that fits your material. Every question comes with an explanation of the correct answer.
Reads your files
Upload PDF, DOCX, PPTX, plain-text notes or a photo of a page. Text in photos is read with text recognition.
Study in the browser or export
Free accounts study in the browser. Plus adds PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV export. Pro adds QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML export.
How it works
Upload your material
Add the PDF, slides, notes or photos you already study from.
Choose the question types
Select multiple-choice, true/false or short answer, or a mix of all three.
Take the quiz
Answer the questions, read the explanations and retake the ones you missed.
Because the questions are built from your own files, the quiz matches your course rather than a generic textbook. Each question includes an explanation, so a wrong answer becomes something you learn from. Free accounts get 3 generations per month, and Plus removes the limit.

Frequently asked questions
How many questions should I put in a practice quiz?
Start with a short set of 10 to 15 questions on one chapter so you can finish in one sitting. Once you see which topics you miss, make a second quiz on just those sections.
What makes a good quiz question from lecture notes?
Good questions test one idea each and use the terms from your course. Avoid questions that only repeat a sentence word for word, and check that every wrong answer choice is plausible.
Can I export my quiz to Moodle or my school's learning system?
Moodle XML and QTI 2.1 export are included in the Pro plan. PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV export are included in Plus.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 3 generations per month and lets you study in the browser. Exports are not included on the free plan, and students with a school email get 40 percent off paid plans.
