Turn your weapons notes into a quiz with AI
Upload PDFs, slides or notes and get multiple-choice, true/false or short answer questions with explanations.
What to use when you want weapons questions
The gimkit weapons you have in mind are items inside a game, and DeckOwl does not run games or supply them. What it does is read weapons material you already have, such as a history chapter on firearms or a slide deck on medieval arms, and write quiz questions from it.
- Multiple-choice questions with explanations for each answer
- True/false items for quick checks before an exam
- Short answer questions that test recall, not just recognition
- Works from PDF, DOCX, PPTX, notes or photos of pages
Upload your own material
Add PDF, DOCX, PPTX, plain text or a photo of a page. Images are read with text recognition.
Three question types
Multiple choice, true/false and short answer questions, each with an explanation for the answer.
Study or export
Study quizzes in the browser on the free plan. Export to PDF or DOCX on Plus, and QTI 2.1 or Moodle XML on Pro.
How it works
Upload
Add a PDF, DOCX, PPTX, notes file or photo of your weapons material.
Choose
Pick multiple choice, true/false or short answer questions for the set.
Study
Answer the quiz, read the explanations, and export if you are on a paid plan.
A quiz built from your own notes shows you what your teacher actually covered. You get multiple choice, true/false or short answer questions, and each answer comes with an explanation so a wrong guess still teaches something.
The free plan lets you study quizzes in the browser with three generations a month. Plus and Pro add exports, including Anki, PDF, DOCX and CSV, and Pro adds QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML if your class runs on a learning management system.

Frequently asked questions
How do I study weapons history for a test?
Build a quiz from your own chapter or slides, answer it without looking, and redo the questions you missed the next day. Short answer items force recall, which tends to work better than rereading.
Which weapons details are worth memorizing first?
Start with the features that separate categories, such as smoothbore versus rifled barrels, caliber, and how a weapon was powered or loaded. Those distinctions show up on many exams.
Does DeckOwl include the Gimkit weapons from the game?
No. DeckOwl is a quiz generator and does not connect to Gimkit or provide in-game items. It builds questions from files you upload.
Can I export weapons quizzes?
Exports are paid features. Plus includes PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV export, and Pro adds QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML for learning management systems.
