Check what you know before reviewing your Quizizz report

DeckOwl doesn't pull class results from Quizizz. It writes multiple-choice, true/false and open questions with explanations from the material you already have.

What a quiz report tells you, and how to study from it

A Quizizz report shows which questions a class got wrong, but it cannot show you which ideas you still need to review. DeckOwl works from the other direction. You upload the chapter, lab manual or lecture slides, and it writes a quiz on that content with an explanation for each answer.

  • Note which question types you miss most, since open questions test recall better than recognition.
  • Write the purpose of each lab report section from memory before checking the explanation.
  • Retake the same quiz a day later to see what actually stuck.
  • Move repeated misses into flashcards so they come back on a schedule.
Example lab report study questions
What belongs in the Methods section of a lab report? The materials, equipment and step-by-step procedure, written so another person could repeat the experiment.
What is the difference between Results and Discussion? Results states what you measured, usually with tables and figures. Discussion interprets those findings and compares them to what you expected.
What should an abstract do?Summarize the purpose, methods, key results and conclusion in one short paragraph, typically under about 250 words.
Why do you cite sources in a lab report? To credit the original work behind background claims and methods, and to let readers check the evidence.
What is a control group? The group that does not receive the tested treatment, used to compare against the experimental group.

Quizzes from your files

Upload PDFs, slides, Word files or notes and get questions written from that exact material.

Explanations on every answer

Each question shows why the correct answer is right, so a wrong answer still teaches you something.

Export on paid plans

Send quizzes out as PDF, DOCX, QTI 2.1 or Moodle XML when you need them outside the browser.

How it works

Upload your material

Add a PDF, slide deck, Word file, text notes or a photo of a page from your course.

Pick the question types

Choose multiple choice, true/false or open questions for the topic you are reviewing.

Study and review

Work through the quiz in your browser, read each explanation, then retake the questions you missed.

Scores are most useful when they point to a topic. For a lab report, that might mean confusing Results with Discussion, or not knowing how to write a Methods section someone else could repeat. Treat each missed question as a note on what to revise.

Retake the same quiz after you revise, and compare which questions you still miss. The ones that keep coming back are the ones to move into flashcards for shorter daily review.

Frequently asked questions

What should a lab report include?

Most lab reports have a title, abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion and references. Check your course rubric, because section names and their order can vary.

How many practice questions should I do before a lab report is due?

There is no fixed number. Cover each section at least once, then keep retaking the questions you missed until they come easily.

Can I export my quiz to Quizizz?

DeckOwl exports to PDF, DOCX, QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML on paid plans, not directly to Quizizz. Check whether your platform accepts QTI 2.1 imports.

Does DeckOwl show student results like a Quizizz report?

No. DeckOwl does not track class scores or provide teacher dashboards. It is built for individual study sessions.
