How to build SAT practice answers from your own material

Real SAT practice tests are copyrighted, so DeckOwl will not provide a free PDF download of SAT practice test 11 answers. What it can do is turn the study material you already have into a custom practice set with answers and explanations.

  • Work from a practice test you legally own or can access through your school
  • Mark each wrong answer and write one sentence on the rule you missed
  • Retake missed questions after a day or two instead of rereading the explanation
  • Time yourself by section to match the pacing you will face on test day
Example SAT practice questions with answers

Questions from your material

Upload PDFs, DOCX, PPTX, notes or photos of pages, and get practice questions written from that text.

An explanation for every answer

Multiple-choice, true/false and short-answer questions include an explanation of why the answer is right or wrong.

Export when you are ready

Export to PDF or DOCX on Plus, or to QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML on Pro. The free plan studies in the browser.

How it works

Upload your material

Add a practice test you legally have access to, or your own notes, slides or photos of pages.

Choose question types

Pick multiple choice, true/false or short answer, then generate your questions.

Study or export

Work through the questions in the browser, or export them to PDF or DOCX on Plus.

Good SAT prep comes from checking your reasoning, not from copying an answer key. When a question has an explanation, you see which rule applied, whether it was a grammar convention, a linear equation step or a reading inference, and you can test yourself on it again later.

Upload your notes or a practice test you have legitimate access to, pick multiple choice, true/false or short answer, and review the explanations after each attempt. Retry the questions you missed a few days later to build lasting recall.

Frequently asked questions

How many practice questions should I do before the SAT?

There is no fixed number, but many students benefit from full timed sections under test conditions before the exam. Reviewing every missed question teaches more than the raw score does.

What is the best way to study SAT math with practice problems?

Work each problem by hand first, then compare your method to the explanation and find the step where you went wrong. Group your errors by topic, such as linear equations or percentages, and drill those topics next.

Can I export the questions DeckOwl generates?

Exports are paid features: PDF and DOCX are on the Plus plan, and QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML are on Pro. The free plan includes 3 generations per month and studying in the browser.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan includes 3 generations per month and browser study, and no credit card is needed to start. Students with a school email get 40% off paid plans.
