Where official SAT practice tests come from

Many students who want a printable official SAT practice test are really looking for College Board's full-length exams, which are delivered through its Bluebook app. DeckOwl does not supply those official tests, so check the Bluebook app first for the real exam content.

  • Practice questions written from your own SAT prep PDFs and notes

  • Spaced repetition flashcards for formulas and vocabulary

Built from your material

Upload the PDFs, slides or notes you already use for SAT prep, and questions are written from that content.

Explanations for every answer

Each multiple-choice, true/false or short-answer question comes with a short explanation so you can see why an answer is right.

Flashcards and mind maps too

Turn the same material into spaced repetition flashcards or a mind map for vocabulary and formulas.

How it works

Upload your prep material

Add a PDF, DOCX, PPTX, text file or photo of a page. Photos are read with text recognition.

Choose question types

Pick multiple choice, true/false or short answer, and generate a practice set in a few clicks.

Practice and review

Answer in the browser, read the explanations, and come back to missed questions until they stick.

DeckOwl covers the other part of SAT prep: your own material. Teachers' handouts, a prep book's chapter PDF, or your class notes can become a fresh set of questions on algebra, grammar or reading strategy, each with an explanation you can study from.

The free plan includes 3 generations per month and studying in the browser. Plus adds unlimited generations and PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV export, so you can take your questions offline or into a flashcard app.

Frequently asked questions

How many SAT practice questions should I do each week?

There is no universal number, and the right amount depends on your target score and how much time you have before the test. Most students get more from reviewing the explanations for every missed question than from finishing a large set without reading them.

Should I take full-length practice tests or topic quizzes?

Use both. Full-length tests build pacing and stamina, while topic quizzes on the areas you miss most, such as specific grammar rules or algebra types, target the gaps that cost points.

Can DeckOwl give me official SAT practice tests?

No. Official SAT practice tests come from College Board through its Bluebook app. DeckOwl generates questions from the study material you upload, so it works alongside official practice rather than replacing it.

Can I export my SAT questions?

Yes, on paid plans. Plus includes PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV export, and Pro adds QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML export. The free plan lets you study in the browser without exports.
