How a custom SAT practice test works

Practice tests work best when they match the material you are studying, not a generic set of questions. A SAT practice test built from your own review sheets, class slides or prep book chapters shows you exactly which skills still need work.

  • Generate questions from the exact chapters or notes you plan to review
  • Mix multiple choice, true/false and short answer to test different skills
  • Read explanations for wrong answers before moving to the next set
  • Save missed questions as flashcards for later review
Example SAT math and grammar practice questions
What is the slope of the line y = -3x + 7?-3. In slope-intercept form y = mx + b, the coefficient m of x is the slope.
If 2x + 5 = 17, what is the value of x?6. Subtract 5 from both sides to get 2x = 12, then divide both sides by 2.
Neither the coach nor the players ___ ready. Which verb fits: was or were?were. The verb agrees with the nearer subject, players, which is plural.
True or false: all rectangles are squares.False. Every square is a rectangle, but a rectangle only needs four right angles, not four equal sides.
What is the median of 9, 3, 7 and 4?5.5. Put the values in order as 3, 4, 7, 9, then average the two middle values, 4 and 7.

Questions from your own material

Upload PDFs, slides, DOCX files, plain notes or photos of pages. Questions come from the content you actually studied.

Explanations for every answer

Each question includes an explanation, so a wrong answer shows you the rule or skill to review.

Spaced repetition for what you miss

Missed questions can become flashcards that come back at increasing intervals, so weak areas get more review.

How it works

Upload your prep material

Add a PDF, DOCX, PPTX, text file or photos of your study pages.

Choose a question type

Pick multiple choice, true/false or short answer, then generate a set.

Take the practice set and review

Answer in the browser, read the explanations, and save the questions you missed.

The SAT has two sections, Reading and Writing and Math, and each covers different skills. Math questions often test algebra, problem solving and data analysis, while Reading and Writing questions test command of evidence, words in context and standard English conventions. Mixing question types helps you practice switching between them under time pressure.

Generated questions are a study aid, not an official College Board test. Check any question against your course material or official prep resources before you rely on it.

Frequently asked questions

How should I use practice tests when studying for the SAT?

Take a short set under timed conditions, then spend more time reviewing explanations than answering. Track which skills you miss most and generate more questions on those topics.

How many practice questions should I do per session for the SAT?

Many students find that 15 to 25 focused questions per session is manageable, but the right number depends on your schedule. Consistent short sessions usually help more than occasional long ones.

Can I export my SAT practice test?

Exports to PDF and DOCX are included in the Plus plan at $39/year or $7.99/month. QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML exports are available on the Pro plan at $14.99/month.

Is there a free plan to try it?

Yes, the Free plan includes 3 generations per month and studying in the browser, with no credit card needed to start. Students with a school email get 40% off paid plans.
