Printable flashcards made from your own material

Teachers and students often want a printed stack of printable Anki flashcards, but a generic download rarely matches the chapter in front of you. Start with your own material instead: DeckOwl reads your PDF, slides, notes or photos and builds cards from that exact content.

  • Generate cards from your own PDFs, slides, notes or photos
  • Study with spaced repetition so weak cards come back sooner
  • Export a printable PDF or send the deck to Anki on Plus
  • Start free with 3 generations a month and no credit card
Example skeletal system flashcards
How many bones are in the typical adult human skeleton?206 bones. Infants have more, because some bones fuse as the body grows.
Which bone is the longest and strongest in the body? The femur, or thigh bone.
What does red bone marrow produce?Blood cells, including red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.
What type of joint joins the bones of the adult skull at the sutures?A fibrous joint, which is immovable and held together by dense connective tissue.
Why is the hyoid bone unusual? It does not articulate directly with any other bone. It is suspended by muscles and ligaments and supports the tongue and larynx.

Frequently asked questions

Can I print my flashcards for free?

Printing is not part of the free plan, which includes 3 generations a month and browser study. PDF export is included with Plus at $39/year or $7.99/month.

How many flashcards should I make for the skeletal system?

Keep each card to one fact, such as a bone name, a landmark or a joint type. Split the unit into axial and appendicular bones so each set stays small enough to review in one sitting.

What should a good skeletal system flashcard look like?

Put a single question on the front, such as which bone forms the forearm's outer bone, and a short answer on the back. Avoid cards that ask for a full list, because they are hard to grade honestly.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. You can start on the free plan without entering a credit card. Students can also get 40% off Plus with a school email.
