Turn your notes into multiple choice questions with AI
Upload a PDF, slide deck or set of notes. Get multiple choice, true/false or open questions, each with an explanation of the correct answer.
Why teachers and students use an AI quiz generator
Teachers and students who need a set of practice questions before a deadline often turn to an AI multiple choice question generator instead of writing every distractor by hand. You upload the chapter or lecture slides, and the tool drafts questions that match the material, along with an explanation for each correct answer.
- Upload PDFs, DOCX, PPTX, plain text, notes or photos of pages
- Get multiple choice, true/false and open questions with explanations
- Study in the browser on the free plan, which includes 3 generations per month
- Export to PDF, DOCX, QTI 2.1 or Moodle XML on paid plans
Multiple choice, true/false and open questions
Pick the question type that fits your review, and each generated question comes with an explanation so you can see why an answer is right.
Works from your own material
Upload PDFs, DOCX or PPTX files, plain text or photos of pages. Questions come from what you actually studied, not a generic bank.
Export when you need it
Export to PDF or DOCX on Plus, and to QTI 2.1 or Moodle XML on Pro, so questions can go straight into your class tools.
How it works
Upload your source
Add a PDF, slides, notes or a photo of a page. Text recognition reads images as well as typed files.
Choose the question type
Select multiple choice, true/false or open questions, and set how many you want from the material.
Review, study or export
Check each question and its explanation, practice in the browser, or export on a paid plan.
The explanations matter as much as the questions. A wrong answer that is close to the right one teaches more than a random guess, so reading why each option is wrong helps you spot gaps before an exam. You can also choose true/false or open questions when multiple choice is not the format you need.

Frequently asked questions
How many multiple choice questions should I write for the American Civil War?
A useful set for one unit is usually 20 to 30 questions covering causes, major battles, key people and the end of the war. Fewer questions on each topic give you more even coverage than many questions on one battle.
What makes a good wrong answer on a history multiple choice question?
Good distractors are plausible, such as a real battle from the same year or a law with a similar name, but clearly wrong on a closer reading. Avoid options that are obviously absurd, because they teach nothing.
Can I export generated questions to Moodle?
Moodle XML export is a Pro feature. PDF and DOCX export, along with Anki and CSV, are available on the Plus plan.
Is there a free plan, and do I need a credit card?
The free plan includes 3 generations per month and studying in the browser, but no exports. You can start without a credit card.
