Turn your notes into Google Forms quiz questions with AI
Upload a PDF, slides or notes and get multiple-choice, true/false or open questions with explanations, ready to move into a Forms quiz.
What a Google Forms quiz extension can and cannot do
A Google Forms quiz extension usually adds helpers inside Forms, but you still type every question by hand. DeckOwl works the other way around: it reads your lecture notes or textbook chapter and drafts the questions first, with explanations, so you can move them into Forms afterward.
- Multiple-choice, true/false and open questions, each with an explanation
- Flashcards with spaced repetition built from the same material
- Free plan: 3 generations per month and study in the browser
- Plus adds unlimited generations plus PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV export

Frequently asked questions
Is DeckOwl a Google Forms add-on?
No. DeckOwl runs in its own browser app and does not add buttons inside Google Forms. You upload your material, generate questions, and copy them into a Forms quiz; exporting to DOCX or PDF is a Plus feature.
How do I turn on quiz mode in Google Forms?
Open the form, select Settings, then the Quizzes tab, and switch on Make this a quiz. You can then set points and answer keys for each question.
How many questions should a practice quiz have for one unit?
Ten to twenty questions usually cover one unit well enough to reveal gaps. Shorter sets are easier to retake, which helps with spaced review.
Can I export quiz questions to QTI or Moodle?
Yes, on the Pro plan, which includes QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML export. PDF, DOCX, Anki and CSV export is available on Plus.
