Where Google Forms quiz responses live and what DeckOwl does

Most people searching for Google Forms quiz responses already sent a quiz and want to see who answered what. Those answers sit on the Responses tab, where you can switch between a summary of all submissions and an individual view for each person.

  • Use the Responses tab to see summary charts for every submission.
  • Switch to Individual view to check one respondent's answers and score.
  • Set grade release timing under Settings, then Quizzes.
  • Use DeckOwl to create practice quizzes from your own material.
Example Google Forms quiz response questions
In Google Forms, which view on the Responses tab shows one person's answers and score? The Individual view. It lets you check one respondent's answers and score at a time.
Why does Google Forms leave some short-answer questions ungraded in a quiz? They need manual grading, since Google Forms auto-grades only choice-based questions like multiple choice and checkboxes.
How do you create a spreadsheet of Google Forms responses that stays linked to the form?Click the Sheets icon on the Responses tab to create a linked spreadsheet, so new submissions appear there too.
Which Settings option controls when respondents see their quiz grade in Google Forms? The release grade setting under Quizzes, which can release scores right after submission or later after manual review.
Can Google Forms show respondents which questions they missed?Yes, by enabling the missed questions or correct answers options under Settings, then Quizzes, so respondents can review their mistakes.
