Example Google Forms quiz questions with answers
In Google Forms, which setting turns a form into a quiz?Make this a quiz, found under Settings, which enables answer keys and point values for each question.
Can Google Forms grade a multiple-choice question automatically?Yes. Once you mark the correct option in the answer key, Google Forms scores multiple-choice, checkbox and dropdown answers automatically.
Where do you add feedback that students see after answering a Google Forms quiz question? In the answer key for that question, choose Add answer feedback, so students see why an answer was right or wrong.
Why might a short-answer question in a Google Forms quiz need your review?Automatic grading only matches responses against your answer key, so correct answers worded differently may need you to check them by hand.
What does the release grade setting control in a Google Forms quiz?It decides when students see their score and missed questions, such as right after submitting or only after you have reviewed responses.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a practice quiz be before a test?

Keep it short enough to finish in one sitting so you can repeat it before the exam. Focus the quiz on the topics you missed last time.

What is the best way to study from a quiz I wrote myself?

Take it once without notes, then read each explanation even for the questions you got right. Retake only the missed questions a day or two later so the review sticks.

Can I export a generated quiz straight to Google Forms?

DeckOwl does not export directly to Google Forms. Paid plans export to PDF or DOCX, and Pro also exports QTI 2.1 and Moodle XML, so you can copy the questions into your form.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The free plan includes 3 generations per month and studying in the browser, but no exports. No credit card is needed to start.
