Get every card you made into one Anki-ready deck

Missing cards usually come from a settings limit, not lost data. Check those first, then generate a complete set from your own PDFs, slides or notes and export it when you need to.

Why an Anki deck may show fewer cards than you added

When an Anki deck not showing all cards problem appears, the cards are usually still in the collection. Anki limits how many new cards and reviews appear each day, hides suspended and buried cards, and only shows cards that are due. Check the deck options, your search filter and whether any subdecks are collapsed before you assume anything was deleted.

  • Check the daily new card limit in your deck options and raise it if it is set low.
  • Look for suspended or buried cards in the browser and unsuspend the ones you need.
  • Clear any search filter or custom study session that is hiding part of the deck.
  • Rebuild the deck from your source notes when the original import was incomplete.

What does the phospholipid bilayer of the cell membrane do?It forms a selectively permeable barrier that controls what enters and leaves the cell.
Where does photosynthesis take place in plant cells? In the chloroplasts, where light energy drives the conversion of carbon dioxide and water into glucose.
What is the role of the Golgi apparatus? It modifies, sorts and packages proteins and lipids for transport inside or outside the cell.

Frequently asked questions

How many flashcards should I make per topic?

Keep each card to one fact so you can recall it on its own, and split long lists into several cards. A cell biology unit often needs a few dozen cards, but clarity matters more than the total count.

How do I study a large deck without getting overwhelmed?

Set a fixed number of new cards to learn each day and let spaced repetition bring back the ones you miss. Missing a day is fine as long as you return to the schedule.

Can DeckOwl export flashcards to Anki?

Yes, Anki export is included on the Plus plan at $39/year or $7.99/month, along with PDF, DOCX and CSV export. The free plan lets you study in the browser without exports.

Do I need a credit card to try DeckOwl?

No. You can start on the free plan with 3 generations per month and no credit card.
