How many practice questions should I write for a cell biology unit?

Aim for enough questions to cover each major topic, such as organelles, membrane transport and cell signaling, at least two or three times. Mixing multiple-choice with short-answer questions shows whether you can explain the ideas, not just recognize them.

Is it better to answer practice questions or reread notes for cell biology?

Answering questions is usually more effective, because retrieving an answer from memory strengthens recall more than rereading does. Rereading the explanations after each wrong answer closes the gaps you find.
