How the until date works in Canvas

The Canvas quiz until date is the cutoff after which students can no longer open or take a quiz, so it is the setting to check before a test window closes. Instructors often confuse it with the due date, which only determines whether a submission counts as late.

The due date marks late submissions but does not lock the quiz by itself.
